Etanan

Mine and Florence To’s installation performance under the name of CØV.

It is based on our ongoing work to do with psycho-acoustics, modal music and entrainment, and is designed to be as immersive as possible. Created especially for Sonic-a 2015, and more particularly for the small pool at Govanhill Baths in Glasgow, it is designed to make full use of the pool’s  incredible reverb.

Etanan involved the creation of an 8ft chime instrument that used the pool’s space as resonator, alongside voice, synthesis and a further home-made bowed chime instrument.
